“Every Year 62 million Americans are diagnosed with a digestive disorder” (GI Alliance).

In 2011 one of those people was Sonia Paryani. Digestive issues can spring up without warning and be extremely painful. Sonia tried treatment with medication but received very adverse side effects including hallucinations and drug induced lupus.

Sonia did some research and decided that she was going to try an alternative method to try to heal. After discovering and following The SCD ( Specific Carbohydrate Diet) by Elaine Gottschall Sonia has been living medication free for 7 plus years.

The diet is great however it can be very restrictive until you get creative with how you get the nutrition you need. That's exactly what Sonia did when she founded Paryani Foods. She creates sweet treats that are gluten free, grain free, dairy free, and refined sugar free. From pumpkin bread, to lemon coconut cakes and cashew ginger bites, all of her food tastes great but are also made with clean ingredients to benefit your well being.

After selling to family and friends Sonia decided to take her desserts and baked goods to grocery stores all throughout the Atlanta, Georgia area. Paryani foods also sells online as well.

We at Bizi love the idea that we can help the SCD community get the nutrition they need in a clean and tasty way and want to support other companies that do the same thing!

To show our support for this community and support for other SCD companies we wanted to partner with Paryani and do a giveaway! Our sweet honey combined with the tasty treats is the perfect way to get a delicious snack and nourish your body!

Be on the lookout in the next week for the giveaway opportunity via our social media!

If you know any other SCD food companies we would love to partner with them! Let us know via email or in our social media DM’s!
